Eight window types we install across DC, Maryland, and Virginia — picked by what fits your home, not by what makes a salesperson's commission.

Double-hung windows
The default for traditional and colonial homes. Both sashes open. The style most DC/MD/VA homeowners are replacing.
Casement windows →
Crank-out style — best energy efficiency, easiest operation for kitchens and hard-to-reach openings.
Awning windows →
Top-hinged, open outward. The right call for basements, bathrooms, and above other windows where you need ventilation without rain.
Picture windows →
Fixed glass — no opening, maximum view, lowest cost per opening for the visible area you get.
Sliding windows →
Horizontal slide. Wide openings, patios, contemporary homes — anywhere a tall double-hung looks wrong.
Bay windows →
Three-panel projection. Adds living space, light, and curb appeal — common upgrade from a flat front window.
Bow windows →
Curved arc of four to six panels. Softer than a bay, often used in living rooms and historic homes.
Patio doors →
Sliding, French, and multi-slide configurations. Replaces aging glass doors with the same energy ratings as the windows next to them.
